Taylor Swift dethrones Elvis Presley as solo artist with most weeks atop Billboard 200 chart

Welcome to 2024 where the King of Rock and Roll has been dethroned by the Mastermind Queen, Taylor Swift. Swift takes the record for the solo artist with the most weeks spent on top of the Billboard 200 albums chart.
With "1989 (Taylor's Version)" maintaining a stronghold at number one, Swift surpassed Elvis Presley's 67-week record with 68 weeks, Billboard announced on New Year's Eve.
The Beatles have about double that. The British band spent 132 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard, which distinguishes between solo artists and bands.
Tennessee has served as a backdrop to both exorbitant careers. Presley hails from Tupelo, Mississippi, and, with his home Graceland, he is synonymous with Memphis. Swift is from Reading, Pennsylvania, and began her country music career in Nashville. She went to high school in Hendersonville, north of Music City.
The megastar's Eras Tour will kick back off in Tokyo, Japan, on Feb. 7. She is set to perform 86 shows across the globe in 2024. And she still has two records to rerelease including "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" and her self-titled album. Not to mention any other album projects Swift is planning to release.
